Airbase

Airbase - a VR military and civil aviation firefighter training simulation environment by FLAIM

Our revolutionary VR military (air force, army, and navy) and civil (aviation) firefighter training platform offers immersive learning experiences designed to prepare your team for diverse aviation rescue fire fighting (ARFF) scenarios, enhancing safety and proficiency in a controlled environment. In this Airbase simulation environment, we place special emphasis on a selection of key scenarios, each uniquely tailored to equip your crew for the specific challenges presented by different fire types.

ARFF Training Scenario: C17 Engine Fire and F35 Engine Fire Simulation

In our immersive C17 and F35 engine fire scenarios, we deliver VR military aviation firefighter training that allows your team to confront a fully-involved engine fire. Practicing precise application of foam or water, trainees learn to smother the fire while improving their hose handling techniques. Key learning objectives include dynamic risk assessment, appropriate foam usage, accurate aircraft approach procedures, and potential considerations around multi-agency communication.

Aviation Firefighter VR Training Scenario: F16 / F35 Brake Fire

These scenarios present your crew with a grounded F16 or F35 Aircraft experiencing a brake fire. The immersive learning scenarios enable trainees to apply water or foam to control the fire effectively, gaining hands-on experience with smothering techniques, aircraft evacuation procedures, dynamic risk assessments, and aircraft shutdown procedures.

F18 Hard Landing – Immersive Running Fuel Fire Training

In this dynamic scenario, the trainees face an unarmed F18 Aircraft with a spreading running fuel fire following a hard landing. Here, the focus is on appropriate fire control using foam, with emphasis on understanding and applying dynamic risk assessments, managing efficient communication, and mastering aircraft shutdown procedures.

Blackhawk Engine Fire Training

This immersive scenario introduces your team to a Blackhawk helicopter with an engine fire. Through this training, the aircraft fire fighting crew gains vital experience in handling such emergencies using appropriate suppressants. The exercise offers essential insights into aircraft approach procedures, evacuation procedures, dynamic risk assessment, and aircraft shutdown methods.
