    Occasionally a Student Record might be created for an individual who already has a Student Record.  This could happen if an individual self-registers multiple times using slightly different details.  It could also happen if an individual self-registers and subsequently a Student Record is created for them using slightly different details.

    If this occurs it is possible to resolve this issue by merging two Student Records.  The outcome of the merger is that the account being I merged is deleted from the system and all the simulation records assigned to that Student Record are re-assigned to the Student Record that it has been merged with.

    Please note – the merge process is irreversible.  The origin Student Record will be irrecoverably deleted, and all simulation records assigned to the origin Student Record will be reassigned to the destination Student Record.

    1. Login to the FLAIM Capture site.
    2. Click Students within the left menu panel.
    3. The All Students Page will now be displayed.
    4. Click on the vertical ellipsis at the far right of the Student Record row to access more options. This will be the Origin Student Record and it will be irrecoverably deleted at the end of this process.
    5. A drop-down menu will now be displayed. Select Merge Student.
    6. A pop-up window will now be displayed. Enter the Student Training Key for the profile you would like to merge this Student Record with. The Student Record you choose will be the Destination Student Record that will be linked to all the simulation records currently assigned to the Origin Student Record.
    7. Click on the Merge button to proceed.
    8. A warning message will then be displayed, warning that the Origin Student Record will be irrecoverably deleted and that this process cannot be reversed.
    9. To continue you must approve the check box to confirm that you acknowledge this process is irreversible and still wish to proceed.
    10. Click on the Proceed to Merge button.
    11. The Origin Student Record has now been irrecoverably deleted and all simulation records linked to the deleted Student Record will have been reassigned to the destination Student Record.
