    Since sweat and heat may quickly build up when you're using your VR equipment, keep it clean and hygienic at all times. Clean the headset, controllers, and other accessories between uses or, especially, users.

    • Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with one of the following disinfectants:
      • Diluted alcohol solution that contains 70-75% alcohol 
      • Diversey Virex II 256 Disinfectant Cleaner (1:256 dilution)
      • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes (Bleach-free)
      • PDI Super Sani-Cloth Germicidal Disposable Wipe




    VR Headset

    Before you begin, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly. Follow the steps below to clean your VR equipment and keep it hygienic.


    Face Cushion

    1. To remove the face cushion, peel off starting from both ends of the face cushion until it detaches from the headset.
    2. To replace the face cushion, insert the tab on the face cushion into the slot on the headset, and then align the hook and loop strips.

    When cleaning the face cushion, remember to:

    • Dampen a clean smooth cloth with cold water and gently wipe the area you want to clean.
    • Air dry at room temperature. Don't tumble dry, iron, or expose it to direct sunlight.
    • Don't scrub, wring, or bleach.
    • Don’t dip or soak in water.
    • For the foam cushion, clean using a water-damp cloth.
      • Dry by leaving in room temperature before use.
    • For a leather cushion, clean using one of the recommended disinfectants or wipes.
      • Dry it using paper towels to remove residue from disinfectants. This helps prevent possible skin irritation or allergies.



    Lenses

    1. If available, use an air pump to blow away dust and particles from the lenses (and trackers).
    2. Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe the lenses (and trackers).
      1. Wipe in a circular motion from the centre to the outer edges. While cleaning the lenses, be careful not to scratch the lenses or disassemble other parts of the headset.


    Headset & other accessories

    1. Using one of the recommended disinfectants or wipes, clean the hard, high-touch surfaces, such as the top and bottom parts of the visor, headset band, adjustment dial on the back side of the headset, and the controller handle.
    2. Completely air dry the headset and controllers.
